this is definitely my favorite band at the moment and general obsession i think. my favorite band member is twiggy ramirez (also really
love zim zum too though!) and my favorite album is mechanical animals. i actually have a huge poster for that album (the version with
the alien nipples though) i have to directly look at it every time i'm in bed lol. was too big to fit on my door
i LOVE hole so much. a lot of their stuff fits a lot of the moods i feel. jennifer's body is one of the best songs ever. i have
a giant live through this poster right next to my bed. also courtney love is a huge inspiration to me and i WILL defend her no matter
what because someone owes it to her.
i got into them by accident. a bunch of people were online "stalking" a friend of mine and a lot of them were really obsessed with
NIN and wouldn't shut up about it. i'd only heard their song "piggy" before that (thanks to a NIN-obsessed friend of mine who
wanted me to hear trent's horny vocals in a song that doesn't need to have them (i'd argue that it does)) but that was
my favorite NIN song for awhile since it was the first of theirs i heard. and the way trent says "all of my fears came true"? oh my god.
also the downward spiral is one of the best fucking albums EVER. who doesn't think that? (:
all i'd known about them for years was that their vocalist was peter steele. which i'd only known him for his playgirl photos LOL.
the year that i really got into them it was november... i was fucking pissed cause it had been halloween like, a week ago,
and now i'd just found a band that's perfect to listen to around that time of year? lol. fortunately i have them now though. the
first song of theirs that really drew my attention was anesthesia. the vibes reminded me of music in the early 90's castlevania
games, strangely enough. no idea why that's what made me like them.
i'll be honest i fucking hate jessicka as a person but god do i love her music. i also love scarling as well, since a lot of their
stuff is super similar to joj. i was pretty hesitant to listen to them because i knew about jessicka and the awful person she is
but i got over it cause i ended up liking her music enough to listen anyway. i have a humid teenage mediocrity shirt i wear regularly
(the one with the design in purple) and vivica makes me feel surreal. i also got my mom a bit interested in joj, she really loves
strawberry gashes. also fuck scott putesky/daisy berkowitz for joining this band after marilyn manson.
this one's a little weird because it was my mom that suggested that i start listening to korn. she's not even really a fan or anything,
she just suggested that i start listening to them for whatever reason. i'll admit jonathan davis' vocals were an acquired taste though
lol. i do like the vibes in a lot of their songs too though. like i remember sometimes having their songs stuck in my head for awhile
but not fully remembering what the song even was so i was just like... great. then i'd find out it was korn and be like, oh. okay.
i don't really have this issue anymore lol.
so loud and so horny, what isn't there to love in a lot of deftones stuff. it took me way too long to actually start listening
to them, but i'd planned to for awhile since i'd always find out random people i'd find cool were huge deftones fans. i do get it now.
i first heard spider and the fly by accident, and that's what got me into them. i wish i heard more people talk about london after
midnight but i almost never really hear anything about them. i'm really into making my own clothes and stuff and onetime i made a
london after midnight shirt, but the design ended up being a little too small so i haven't really worn it. even though it's my
fault cause i did the painting lol.
